Day 1 - Arrive in Portland International Airport (officially the best airport in the US)

Head Downtown to chill out at the boutique Hotel Lucia. If you’ve got the energy then pop out for a late night pizza or the first of many Oregon craft beers at BridgePort Brewing Company – Oregon’s oldest craft brewery.

Day 2 - Immerse yourself in the best of Downtown Portland

Take a trip on the aerial tram, refuel at Voodoo Donuts and the infamous Portland food carts, explore Powells Books, and the Pearl District. It’s all on your doorstep.

……of Alberta in Northeast Portland and the vegan mecca and vintage clothes shops of Hawthorne in the Southeast.

Enjoy sundowners and city views from the rooftop bar at Altabirra City Tavern, tuck into delicious tapas at the infamous Toro Bravo restaurant, and take in some live music at Doug Fir Lounge – a legendary log-cabin music venue on East Burnside.

……before overnighting at the iconic Timberline Mountain Lodge on the south slope of Mount Hood.

Don’t miss the incredible Multnomah Falls and the chilled out little town of Hood River en route.

Spend the afternoon orientating yourself with a hike or run around the Deschutes River Trail Loop, hire a cruiser bike and explore the town or grab some mountain bikes from Crows Feet Commons and get stuck in at the excellent MTB trails from Phil’s Trailhead. Make sure you’re back in time for happy hour at the Crux Fermentation Project for epic beers and sunset views.

Day 6 - Bend – Grab a coffee from Backporch Coffee Roasters then head 45 minutes north of Bend in the direction of Smith Rock National Park

An iconic rock climbing destination with beautiful hiking trails.  A true natural wonder, it’s an absolute must-visit Oregon classic. Refuel back in town at the eclectic Spork restaurant – a locals favourite for it’s vibrant Asian and Mexican food and craft cocktails.

Day 7 - Bend – Head in the direction of the hundreds of trails in the Three Sisters Wilderness to work off all the craft beer and cocktails

Immerse yourself in the silence, wonder at the stunning Green Lakes or challenge yourself with a hike up to the summit of South Sister. Spend the night camping under the stars or head back to town for drinks and eats at 900 Wall.

Located 2 hours drive south of Bend, the incredible Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the US, the seventh deepest in the world, and an awe inspiring, must-see for any visitor to Oregon.

Day 9 - Bend – It’s your last day in town so how you spend it is up to you!

Climb, fish, bike, hike, run, cruise around town, play a spot of golf, visit the whitewater park – whatever floats your Central Oregon boat. Round it all off with a trip to the top of Black Butte for sunset before celebratory cocktails and dinner at Zydeco on NW Bond Street.

Day 10 - Leaving Bend is tough (we know!) but it’s time to move on to the next part of the adventure – the Oregon Coast!

In a little over 4 hours, you’ll be in Yachats in Lincoln County, recently voted the best place to stay on the Oregon coast. The black basalt shoreline is stunning, as is the fresh Oregon seafood at the Ona Restaurant and Lounge in Yachats but and it’s the opportunity to stay at the incredible Heceta Lighthouse B&B with its stunning ocean views that will truly blow you away.

Hire a fat bike and go for a two-wheeled adventure along the beautiful white sandy beach, try your hand at surfing, go beachcombing, fishing, crabbing or wildlife watching, eat ice cream, or visit the aquarium and then wash it all down with a craft beer, cider or soda at the Rogue BrewPub before retiring to the luxury Ocean House inn situated right on the beach.

Day 12 - It’s your final day on the Oregon coast, so take it all in with a 2.5 hour drive north in the direction of Cannon Beach

Get there in time for lunch then go exploring. Home to the iconic Haystack Rock, Hug Point waterfalls, miles upon miles of sandy beach, a host of arty shops, and excellent cafes, there’s loads to keep you occupied on the final afternoon of your Oregon coastal adventure. Lap it all up then spend the evening chilling out at the glorious Ocean Point Inn as the sun goes down over the Pacific Ocean.

Cannon Beach is only 45 minutes away from the city so there’s no need to rush but you’ll want to get back to town so that you can make the most of your last night treat – a stay at the fabulous historic Hotel Nines. Relax with a drink in the incredible rooftop bar and look back on all the fabulous things you’ve seen and done.
