Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort : A Canadian Backcountry Retreat
Accessible only by helicopter, float plane or boat, Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort offers a luxurious opportunity to escape from the noise and constant chatter of daily life. To unwind and unplug. To tune into the sights and sounds of the natural environment. To authentically engage with your surroundings and the people you’re with.
The family-owned and run adventure resort is made up of 9 cabins that overlook the water and come complete with lovely little touches such as homemade truffles and cookies. They all have access to outdoor cedar hot tubs and the rain shower located next to the spectacular waterfall that supplies most of the electrical power for the resort.
Days are spent in total outdoor immersion. Whether you opt for heli-accessed fly fishing, bear watching, paddle boarding with dolphins, hiking, rock climbing, or boat-based whale watching, the untouched wilderness of British Columbia will blow you away.
And after a long day of life-affirming adventure and exploration, you can cosy up by the fire-pit on a floating platform in a big Adirondack chair and warm blanket, chat with friends and do some serious star-gazing.
This video epitomises the pace of life at Nimmo Bay and it really is worth taking 2 mins 30 seconds out of your day to watch it.
Exhale, feel your shoulders relax and your senses come alive. And then imagine actually being there….
