Boats, safety briefings and saunas
Breakfast 7.30am – a large spread of international breakfast options will prepare all for the longest mountain assaults. The spread will include cereals, porridge, meats, salmon, eggs and freshly baked bread daily.
Safety Briefings – upon your arrival all guests will attend a safety briefing and workshop on avalanche rescue and boating procedures. After breakfast the group will be briefed on the day and any safety discussed.
Lunch – taken on the summit, a hot drink and a pack lunch from the lodge.
Afternoon back at the lodge at 4.30pm for afternoon tea when soup, cakes and waffles are served. The sauna and outdoor hot-tub are open to use for all guests.
Evening meal 7.30pm – the chef will proudly prepare a feast of delicious local offerings from local producers from the Lyngen Alps region, including fish dishes of salmon, sea trout, cod, halibut, wolf fish and coley. Meat is from reindeer and local lamb as well as international recipes.
Transfers to and from Tromsø – you will be advised of the time you will be collected for transfers to and from the airport and lodge on your arrival and departure dates. You will arrive early evening for welcome drinks and evening meal by the open log fire.
Transportation – the best skiing is accessed by boat, skidoo or 4×4. The boat transports to locations ranging from 15 to 55 minutes from the lodge. You will disembark directly onto the beaches and begin the ski tour directly from the shoreline.
Climbing and skiing – each day ascents will be made climbing on skins to reach summits. Ascents range from 600m to 1500m – this depends on fitness, ability and weather (time 2-6 hours). Slopes in Lyngen are typically wide and constantly angled, perfect for skiing.
Each of our itineraries can be tailor-made to suit your specific needs and is merely provided as a guide to illustrate the type of holidays that Summit & Blue can create.
