Torassieppi is located by lake Torassieppijärvi next to the magnificent Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park and includes a reindeer farm and museum, husky farm, Winter Village and Aurora Glamping. Part of the Harriniva Wilderness Resort that includes the Hotel Jeris and Harriniva Lodge you can easily move between each venue whether that’s to eat at a different location or try one of a number of summer and winter activities.
The accommodation at Torassieppi is either in cabins sleeping 1-6 people or in a small number of lodge rooms located in the main hall. The collection of cabins are scattered amongst tall pine trees and each cabin holds two accommodation units that can easily be joined using an interconnecting door; perfect for families. Other specialities at Torassieppi include snow igloos in winter and the Aurora Domes all year round. Their Aurora Glamping is the first official glamping destination in Finland and Northern Scandinavia. Aurora Domes provide a chill-free view of Scandinavia’s spectacular Northern Lights in winter and amazing midnight sun in summer time.
Locally produced and organic food is served in the main lodge a short walk from each cabin with views over the lake and a great place just to relax with a freshly brewed cup of coffee or enjoy traditional food such as reindeer stew with mashed potato and Cloudberries.
