Nimmo Bay Resort
Nimmo Bay Resort is a unique floating resort only accessible by air or boat and located 190 miles northwest of Vancouver on mainland British Columbia. It is a fabulous venue from which to experience the raw beauty of west coast Canada.
A full range of onsite activities, including bear watching from a paddle boarding, Orca and whale watching from sea kayaks and heli-hiking are guaranted to make a visit to Nimmo Bay unique and memorable.
The resort is made up of nine spacious yet cosy cabins, six intertidal and three streamside built with great consideration for the surrounding environment. The intertidal cabins have red-peaked roofs and allow you to experience the rise and fall of the tide right beneath you. These four-room units have a comfortable living area, a washroom and two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed. In the green-peaked streamside cabins, you will fall asleep to the sounds of the nearby cascading waterfall. Perfect for a family, these units have a pleasant living area, a single washroom and two bedrooms; one with a queen size bed and one with a pair of single beds.
The Lodge at Nimmo Bay is a cozy-but-ample space, perfect for relaxing and reflecting on the memories you’ve created. You’ll find guitars and other instruments (for those who like to make music) and a full service bar, with a fine selection of specialty spirits and cigars. A floating fire dock equipped with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit allows you to reflect on the wonders and sights you have experienced that day. Alternatively relax in one of two cedar hot tubs located next to a natural waterfall where a refreshing dip in the waterfall plunge pool will heighten the senses.
Best time to visit from beginning of May to the end of October.
